Recreational Gymnastics

The Gymnastics Zone offers gymnastics classes for all ages with emphasis on skill development and enjoyment. Our instructors have been selected for their expertise and desire to work with children in a positive atmosphere.


USAG Competitive Gymnastics Program

The USAG program is a competitive gymnastics program. Anyone interested in joining our program can be tested or do a trial class. The gymnast joins the team, learns level 4 & 5 routines, and competes against other gymnastics clubs. These competitions are held on Saturdays and Sundays. Our competition season starts in late fall and runs through the end of spring. The girls on the team will compete at either level 4 or 5. Practices will be three to four times a week. We will be posting meet info! Fundraising will offset some of the costs.


ALL-STAR CHEER CATS Competitive Cheerleading Program

The All-Star Cheer Cats program is designed for boys and girls ages 5-19 interested in competitive cheerleading. This program will help prepare students for high school or college cheerleading and is for those who love to compete. The season runs from April through March. The teams compete at 4 or more competitions throughout the year. This sport requires dedication and commitment. The teams also attend camp during the summer. Fundraising will offset some of the costs.

Parent's Cheerleading Team

We now offer a "parent's team" called "CAT-astrophe!" which meets 1 hour per week. This team will enter as "exhibition" at upcoming cheer competitions.


CHEER KITTENS Non-Competitive Cheerleading Program

The Cheer Kittens program is designed for children ages 4 through 10 to prepare them to move up to the competitive All-Star Cheer Cats. This class meets once a week for an hour to work on tumbling, stunting, motions, dance and cheer! See the calendar for current classes for our Cheer Kittens.


Open Gym

1 1/2 hours of "Free Gym" for children ages 6 and up. The gymnasts are able to practice their skills under the supervision of an instructor. Members are $5.00 and non-members are $10.00

Parent & Tot/Pre-School Open Gym

1 hours of "Parent guided" open gym for children ages 18 months through 5 years old. This is a fun time for your child to meet new friends and work on skills learned in class. The preschool open gyms are held on the first three Fridays of each month from 9:30-10:30 am, starting the month of September and ending in April. The cost is $5 per member and $7 per non-member.

4 kids -or- 4 or more classes=$15.00 discount (maximum)


Annual Registration Fee

*There is a $35.00 annual non-refundable registration fee per child upon registering for a class.


Holiday Closings

The gym will be closed on the following holidays: Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July. They gym will be holding classes on all other holidays. Exact dates will be noted in monthly newsletters. Competitive teams may still be practicing during these closing dates. Make sure to check with your coach.


Gym Policy

Class Attire: Girls should wear a leotard (shorts optional). Boys should wear a T-shirt with shorts or sweatpants. No jeans, tights, socks, jewelry, or gum allowed. All hair must be pulled back. Anyone wearing jeans will not be able to participate in class. No bobby pins are allowed in the gym. NO PARENTS or SIBLINGS ALLOWED IN GYM AT ANY TIME!

Tuition & Payment Policy

  • ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS ON MONTHLY FEES.
  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. A $15 late fee will be applied after 15 days. If no payment is received within 30 days, student will be removed from the program. Students will be re-enrolled when payment is received in full.
  • You must give two-week notice prior to dropping a class (otherwise there will be a charge for tuition without notification).
  • NSF checks will be assessed a $25.00 fee.
  • There is a payment box located in the waiting area for your convenience or you may mail in your payments to 820 Anita Ave., Antioch, IL 60002


Class Make-Up Policy

  • Each child will be allowed TWO make-up classes per calendar year. Absolutely no refunds on missed classes.
  • You must schedule make-up classes, no walk-ins!
  • No re-scheduling missed make-up classes.

Celebrate Your Birthday Party at The Gymnastics Zone

The first hour of the party takes place is in the gym with an instructor. He/She leads the students through the gym on the equipment. For the remaining time the party guests are in the waiting room, where you can eat cake and open presents. All of the guests receive a beverage, a small treat, and the birthday child receives a Gymnastics Zone T-shirt. The cost is $155.00 per 10 kids.

*Over 10 children? Each additional child is $10.00.
*An additional fee of $25.00 is required for a second instructor.

 

Annual Gymnastics Show

Our annual gymnastics show is an optional event. We highly recommend that your child participates so they can demonstrate the skills they have learned throughout the year. Girls are required to purchase a $40.00 leotard. Boys are required to purchase a $20 t-shirt. There will be a $5.00 entry fee per person, excluding participants, to help offset the cost of the show. Tickets will be available prior to the show at The Gymnastics Zone, or on the day of the show at the entrance of the Antioch Community High School.
